An Ashdown business operator is facing a felony charge after court records filed in Little River County.
Thirty-five-year-old Alexandra Elizabeth Vaught of Horatio has been charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault involving a teenage boy she was reportedly in a position of trust and authority over.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the teen was given alcohol before the alleged assaults at a property south of Ashdown on Highway 71.
Vaught was released last week on a $5,000 bond. If convicted, she could face five to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $15,000, or both. A separate civil eviction case involving the Highway 71 property remains pending.
